Far more people suffer from various forms of illness or disability than is generally appreciated. There may be many situations where families are affected by mental disorder and where its presence brings them into contact with the law.
We have a Legal Aid Agency mental health contract which means we are able to provide free representation at Mental Health Review Tribunals and assistance with Managers Hearings where patients are detained.
The expertise which the department offers enables our clients to have confidence in the advice we provide Our ability to provide specialist advice and support to clients involved in Court of Protection proceedings is complementary to the growth of the department.
